"Jupiter" is one of seven movements from the orchestral suite, The Planets composed by an English composer, Gustav Holst (1874 - 1934). He wrote this suite for each planet (Jupiter, Mars, Neptune, Venus, Saturn, Uranus, and Mercury). "Jupiter" is the most popular piece from The Planets. And The Planets suite is the best-known work by Holst among all the compositions he wrote. He was interested in the solar system and its Greek astrological characteristic of each planet.

Tips for playing Level 6 "Jupiter":

Unlike "Jupiter Theme," this Level 6 "Jupiter" is a complete version of "Jupiter" arranged for piano solo, not just for its theme section. It is at a very advanced level (Expert, or Level 6). This arrangement/sheet music for piano solo is not easy to find in the world. If you are interested in only the theme section of "Jupiter," we do carry several different levels of Jupiter Theme. This Level 6 "Jupiter" (complete version) is in the original key that Gustav Holst wrote. It is very long (12 pages) with many different sections. We recommend you to learn slowly, play slowly while learning it section by section. The fingering numbers are not provided. Some specific pedal (sustain, dumper) markings are provided. However, you can add more to your own taste. Even though this arrangement is at a very advanced level, there is no harmonic interval that is wider than the octave.
