About "Panis Angelicus":
"Panis Angelicus" is a Christian Hymn for the feast written by an Italian Catholic priest, St. Thomas Aquinas sometime in the 1200s. The Music was composed later by a Belgian composer, César Franck in 1872. It is a very calming beautiful melody. Tips for playing Level 2 "Panis Angelicus":
On this page, we are offering Level 2 (very easy) "Panis Angelicus." There is only one position for the entire song. After you download it, please locate the hand position on the tutorial page. There are fingering numbers provided on every note. You'll be playing its melody line and harmonic notes at the same time. That means this level requires a lot more coordination with right and left hands and different fingers than Level 1 "Panis Agnelicus." There are a lot of times you'll be playing 3 notes at the same time. There are a lot of black keys as well on this level of "Panis Angelicus." When you see a sharp sign (#) or flat sign (b) on the music score, please go to the black key which is indicated on the tutorial page as well. Also, if you see a sharp or flat sign in any given measure, please remember that the 2nd and 3rd notes in the same measure (between bars) are also sharped or flatted even though you don't see the signs. This Level 2 arrangement is the higher end of Level 2. If you think it's too difficult for you, please try Level 1 "Panis Angelicus" first. "Panis Angelicus" is a reasonably slow piece. Try not to play too fast so that it won't end up sounding like a marching song. This arrangement is written for piano solo. However, you or someone else can sing along. The separate lyrics page is included in the PDF file.
