Tips for playing Level 5 "Canon in D"

This "Canon in D" is for piano solo and it's at Level 5 (advanced). This arrangement is written in the original key of D major.

In this arrangement, the left-hand plays the arpeggiated baseline throughout with 8th notes. And they often extend beyond octaves. Therefore, please watch for which ones are more than an octave. Most of the times, the right-hand plays the 2 voices (2 melody lines). You can listen to the complete audio sample of the whole arrangement for free on this page to get a feel for it before purchasing. After purchasing it, you can continue listening to it to check if you are playing the correct notes, harmonies, and rhythms. The recording was played very slowly. Start playing this arrangement very slowly. Later in the song, there are a lot of 16 notes (shorter faster notes). That means you do have to play 16th notes quickly even though the tempo should stay the same throughout the piece. The specific damper (sustain) pedal markings are not provided. However, please use it every 2 beats, meaning twice in each measure.
