About "The First Noel":
"The First Noel" is a traditional English carol (hymn) from the 17th century, sung a lot during the Christmas season. There are a lot of versions of its lyrics. But we have noted the new English version that has been popular and included that on the separate lyrics page in the PDF file for a sing-along. Tips for playing Level 5 "The First Noel":
In this Level 5 (advanced) arrangement of "The First Noel," you will be playing 4 different styles. Each style has different accompaniment parts. In the 1st part, you'll be playing the melody with the left-hand and accompaniment part with the right-hand which is less common as a piano piece. (Usually most piano pieces play the melody with the right-hand and the accompaniment part with the left-hand. Therefore, this is a nice challenge for Level 5 players. The 4th accompaniment part with the left-hand stretches (extends) the intervals more than an octave most of the time. The sustain (damper) pedal marking is not provided. However, you can definitely use the sustain pedal most of the time for this arrangement. The arrangement is written in the key of D major which is the most commonly used key.
