Tips for playing Level 2 "Ave Maria" by Schubert
This particular arrangement for "Ave Maria" by Schubert here on this page is for piano solo. You'll be playing both melody part and harmonic notes by yourself. It is at a very easy level (level 2). You'll be using only one hand-position for the entire song except for the last measure. After you download it, please locate the hand position on the tutorial page. There are some black keys as well. When you see a sharp (#) or flat (b) sign on the music score, please go to the black keys also indicated on the tutorial page. And please remember that the 2nd sharped or flatted note in a given measure is still sharped or flatted even though you don't see the sign. The fingering numbers are provided on all notes. The damper (sustain) pedal is not necessary for this level except at the end. It is arranged in the key of C major to accommodate Level 2 players. Please refer to our free complete audio sample on the top of this page before and after purchasing.
