Tips for playing Level 4 "Beautiful Dreamer"

On this page we are offering this Level 4 (intermediate) "Beautiful Dreamer" for piano solo. Although it is arranged for piano solo, you or someone else can sing along. The separate lyrics page is included in the PDF file.

You'll be playing the melody part with your right-hand and accompaniment part with your left hand. The left-hand part needs to be spread out to octaves a lot of the times. The right-hand will play not only the single melody line but harmonic notes as well. The arrangement is written in the key of D major. Therefore, do not forget C sharp and F sharp. The damper (sustain) pedal signs are marked explicitly below the left-hand part with "Pen" with the old fashion fonts. When you see a start sign after the pedal sign, lift the pedal until you see the next "Ped" sign. You can repeat as many as you like between where you see the repeat signs. The fingering numbers are not provided for this level of this song. Please experiment and find the best fingering for you. This arrangement is a higher part of Level 4, close to Level 5.
