About "The Great Gate of Kiev":
"The Great Gate of Kiev" is from Pictures at an Exhibition which is a suite of 10 pieces composed originally for piano. It was written by a Russian composer, Modest Mussorgsky (1839 – 1881) from the romantic era. "The Great Gate of Kiev" is the last movement. Even though "Pictures at an Exhibition" was written for the piano, it is also well-known for various instrumentations arranged by different arrangers. Mussorgsky wrote these pieces for paintings that his friend, Viktor Hartmann made.
Tips for playing Level 1 "The Great Gate of Kiev":
This particular arrangement on this page is at beginner's level (Level 1) in the easiest key which is the key of C major. And there is no black key in this arrangement that you need to play. It is a slow and powerful piece. So, do not rush. The fingering numbers are provided on all notes. You'll be playing only a single note at a time for this level.
