    About "Moonlight Sonata": 

    Popularly known as "Moonlight Sonata" is Piano Sonata No. 14 in C sharp minor "Quasi una fantasia" Op. 27 by a German composer, Ludwig van Beethoven (1770 - 1827) from the classical era. He wrote it as a piano solo work. It is one of the most loved classical piano solo pieces in the world. "Moonlight Sonata" has 3 different movements. On this page, we offer the 1st movement (Adagio Sostenuto) of "Moonlight Sonata." It is a slow piece and the most famous movement of all three movements. 

    Tips for playing Level 2 "Moonlight Sonata - The 1st Movement":

    This particular arrangement for the 1st movement of "Moonlight Sonata" is at Level 2 (very easy). You do not have to change the positions at all from the beginning until the end. After download it, please locate the hand position on the tutorial page. The fingering numbers are provided on most notes except on the repeated notes and patterns. You'll be playing both melody notes and harmonic notes by coordinating right and left hands. Beethoven composed this piece in the key of C sharp minor. However, this arrangement is in the key of A minor to accommodate piano players at Level 2.
