About "Tango in D Major" by Albéniz:
"Tango in D Major" was composed by Spanish composer Isaac Albéniz (1860 - 1909) from the romantic era and is No. 2 of the suite Espana Op. 165. It is popular for guitar. However, it was originally written for piano solo by Albéniz.
Tips for playing Level 1 "Tango in D Major":
On this page, we are offering an arrangement of "Tango in D Major" at Level 1 (for beginners). It is in the key of C major to accommodate the beginners. You can stay in one hand-position for the entire piece. After you download it, please locate the hand-position on the tutorial page. The fingering numbers are provided on all the notes. You'll be playing a single note at a time. There are a lot of black keys that you do have to play, sometimes even with your thumb or pinky. Those black keys are pictured on the tutorial page as well. When you see a sharp (#) or flat (b) sign on a note on the music score, please go to those black keys described on the tutorial page. When you see a natural sign, go back to the white key. In general, stay above the black keys (meaning, placing your hands inside or forward part of the keys) so that you can easily reach a black key with your finger, especially with your thumb since the thumb is a lot farther away from the black keys. This arrangement is very high-end of Level 1. Therefore, we recommend you to keep listening to our free complete audio sample on the top of this page after purchasing it and while practicing.
