About "Ave Maria" by Schubert:

This is a piano sheet music of "Ave Maria" by Austrian composer, Franz Schubert (1797 – 1828) from classical/romantic era. The real title of this piece is "Ellens dritter Gesang," "Ellens Gesang III," or in English, "Ellen's Third Song." It is from his Op. 52 work written for the poem, The Lady of the Lake. Initially, it was written for organ & voice by Schubert.

Tips for playing "Ave Maria (Ellen's Third Song)" by Schubert

This particular arrangement for "Ave Maria" by Schubert here on this page is for piano solo. You'll be playing both (singing) melody part and the accompanying bass lines by yourself. It is at an intermediate level (level 4). There are no specific damper pedal markings and fingering numbers suggested. Unlike Level 5 arrangement of "Ave Maria" by Schubert, in this level of arrangement, each hand plays only 1 note at a time. And the left-hand accompaniment bass line are not so spread out like Level 5. The widest you need to spread your left hand will be an octave.

To fit both the melody part and accompaniment part nicely in a piano solo arrangement, we have changed the key from the original key of B flat major to G major.
