More about this Level 4 "Canon" by Pachelbel:
"Canon in D" is one of most famous and popular music work that this German composer, Johann Pachelbel (1653 – 1706) in baroque era wrote. This particular arrangement was made for piano solo and it's in Level 4 (intermediate level). This arrangement is written in the original key of D major. Because it was written originally in key of D, oftentimes this work is also known as "Canon in D".
The left hand plays the arpeggiated base line through out with 8th notes within an octave. It doesn't stretch wider than an octave for this level of arrangement. The right hand plays the melody. You can listen to the audio sample of the whole arrangement for free on this page. Start very slowly because later in the song there are a lot of 16 notes (shorter notes). That means you do have to play a lot more notes quickly even though the tempo is not going to be faster.
