Free Czerny No. 1
from Op. 599 - Practical Piano Exercise Sheet
This is No. 1 from Practical Piano Exercises, Op. 599 by Carl Czerny. Often this Op. 599 is titled in English as "Practical Exercises for Beginners" or "Practical Method for Beginners". However, we titled it as "Practical Piano Exercises" and removed "for Beginners" from the title. Only the exercises from No. 1 through No. 10 of Op. 599 are considered for beginners. After that, they get more advanced.
Please notice that both clefs are in the treble clef. And both hands stay in C 5-finger scale / or hand position. That means your right-hand thumb will be on C and left-hand pinky (finger 5) will be on C.
On this score, there is no fingering number on the repeated note. You may use the same finger that you used previously or a different finger. Using a different finger is used often for the conventional classical training. However, if you would like to practice staying in a particular 5-finger position you may use the same finger on the repeated note.
