More about this Level 4 "Habanera":
This exotic piece "Habanera" from the opera, Carmen was composed by a French composer, Georges Bizet (1838 - 1875) from the romantic era. Carmen is the best-known composition among all the compositions written by Bizet. And this Spanish sounding "Habanera" is the most famous piece from Carmen.
This particular arrangement for piano solo is in the original key of D minor. The left-hand extends to octave interval or even wider to have an excellent original-sounding accompaniment to support the melody of the right-hand part. There are only some harmonic notes where you do have to play 2 notes at the same time with the right-hand. We provided only the critical and helpful fingering numbers on a few notes, especially for the right hand. More dynamics and accents are expected for this level. The damper pedaling is not necessary for this piece. So, there is none provided. Please refer to the free complete audio sample of this arrangement. We are sure that you'll enjoy this fabulous arrangement.
