About "In the Hall of the Mountain King":
"In the Hall of the Mountain King" from the play, Peer Gynt is an orchestral work written by a Norwegian composer, Edvard Grieg (1843 - 1907) from the romantic era. Tips for playing Level 2 "In the Hall of the Mountain King":
This particular arrangement is at a very easy level (Level 2). It's written in the key of F minor instead of the original key which is B minor, to accommodate piano players at Level 2 (very easy level). You'll be using the same one hand-position. However, it moves up an octave higher 3 times. After you download it, please locate the hand-position on the hand-position tutorial page. There are also a few black keys you'll be playing. You can find those black keys described on the tutorial page as well. Some little (short) kids like to play this arrangement standing up instead of sitting on the piano bench. By standing up, it's easy to move from the low hand-position to high hand-position 3 times easily. In this Level 2 "In the Hall of the Mountain King," you'll be playing only the melody notes without other notes which create harmonies.
