About "Liebestraum No. 3":
'Liebestäume' means 'Dreams of Love' in English. It was composed by a Hungarian composer, Franz Liszt (1811 - 1886) from the romantic era as a piano solo piece. Liszt composed 3 pieces in Liebestraum. And this particular piece is No. 3 which is the most popular and famous one among all three.
Tips for playing Level 2 "Liebestraum No. 3":
This particular arrangement is at Level 2 (very easy). Even though Liszt wrote this piece in the key of A flat major, this particular arrangement is in the key of C major to accommodate piano players at Level 2. You only need to change hand positions twice. The first section has one position, and the midsection has another position that is just one step higher from the previous position for both hands. After you download it, please find the hand positions on the tutorial page. Usually, pieces at Level 2 at our website don't come with damper (sustain) pedal markings. But this particular piece comes with pedal markings. Therefore it's at the higher level of Level 2. Compared to the original "Liebestraum," of course, this arrangement is a lot easier. However, it still sounds fluent, smooth and lovely. You can listen to our free complete audio sample on the top of this page. Enjoy!
