More about this Level 1 "The House of the Rising Sun":
"The House of the Rising Sun" is a traditional folk song that became very popular in popular culture because so many artists including a band, The Animals, have done their own versions of this song. Originally, it started as a blues song in New Orleans. But other research shows that it might come from Europe (possibly France or England) before that.
On this page, we are offering Level 1 (beginner's level) of "The House of the Rising Sun" for piano. You can stay in one hand-position for the entire song. After you download it, please locate the hand position on the tutorial page. There are fingering numbers provided on every note. You'll be playing only melody notes (a single note at a time). And there is no black key that you need to play. This arrangement was written for piano solo. However, you or someone else can sing along with your favorite version of its lyrics.
