About "The House of the Rising Sun":
"The House of the Rising Sun" is a traditional folk song that became very popular in popular culture because so many artists including a band, The Animals (English R&B rock band), did their versions of this song. Originally, it started as a blues song in New Orleans. But other research shows that it might have come from Europe (possibly France or England) before that.
Tips for playing Level 2 "The House of the Rising Sun":
On this page, we are offering, Level 2 (very easy) of "The House of the Rising Sun" for piano solo. You can stay in one hand-position for the entire song. After you download it, please locate the hand position on the tutorial page. There are fingering numbers provided on every note. You'll be playing the melody notes and the additional notes to create harmonies for this level. Therefore, it requires a lot more coordination with right and left hands and different fingers than Level 1 "The House of the Rising Sun." There are 2 black keys that you need to play in this arrangement. When you see a sharp sign (#) on the music score, please go to the nearby black key which also is pictured on the tutorial page. The last note with the left hand is not in the position. But you do have to go down to 1 octave lower A which is Bass A. This arrangement is written for piano solo. However, you or someone else can sing along with your favorite version of its lyrics.
