More about this Level 3 "Turkish March" by Beethoven:
"Turkish March" was composed by a German composer, Ludwig van Beethoven (1770 - 1827) from the classical era. It was written in the Turkish style. Often, many people associate it with The Ruins of Athens. (Please don't confuse this "Turkish March" with "Turkish March" composed by Mozart.)
Although the originally it was written in the key of B flat major, this Level 3 arrangement of "Turkish March" is written in the key of F major. It has fingering numbers on all notes. Three different hand positions happen in this arrangement. After you download it, please refer to the tutorial page for hand positions. You'll be playing both melody notes and harmonic notes. And unlike Level 2 "Turkish March" by Beethoven, there is a second section (second page) which contains a lot of notes and black keys. To get the ideas for the rhythms, please refer to our free complete audio sample. To make this piece sound like a Turkish march, please follow precisely on staccato and legato notes. The staccato and legato signs are specifically marked. Enjoy!
